Host a New England Clambake
Over this past weekend we traveled pretty close to New England, close enough to see an abundance of maple syrup in the stores. But we weren't close enough to get a New England clam bake for dinner, we were a little too inland for that. However, being that close reminded me that I should plan a New England Clam Bake party some time this summer, either one day at the beach or while at home, so that I can enjoy the flavors of the seashore.

Summer parties are all about casual fun. And I don't think you can get much more casual than a Texas Barbecue Dinner Party, can you? Just think about it - all of your guests are picking up ribs with their fingers, dishing up mounds of beef, eating beans, and drinking iced tea or beer. It's kind of hard to be dignified with barbecue sauce all over your face and fingers as you wipe them off on a bandana. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it now.
