| | I've been experimenting with raw foods and trying new raw food recipes and combinations again. I love they way they never give you that "over full" bloated feeling, and of course, they're just super healthy, nourishing and naturally delicious. I've also noticed a new benefit of eating raw foods: when I do my dishes, everything just seems to wipe right off. No scrubbing, no soaking needed! Here's a few of the new raw food recipes I've come up with recently. Also, if you know of any veterinarians, or vet students, please check out this forum post. | | Raw food hummus recipe This raw food version of hummus was a long time coming. I tried so many different ways to make a raw hummus without cooked chickpeas and just never had anything turn out right. Until now. This raw hummus, made from healthy summer zucchini is just as good as the real thing. Enjoy! | Raw Thai Coconut Soup "Tom kha" Thai coconut soup has long been one of my favorite vegetarian Thai food dishes! This raw food version is made from a fresh young Thai coconut instead of canned coconut milk, and the spices are pureed in the blender instead of simmered stove top. But the exotic flavors are all there, I promise! | Dehydrator recipes: Cookies, fruit leathers and crackers Now I know not everyone has a dehydrator, which is why I've listed these recipes separately. But if you do, have a dehydrator, here's a few ways to take advantage of it while getting all the benefits of raw, uncooked foods. Banana date macaroons (pictured) Even if you don't have a dehydrator, you can try this similar recipe for banana coconut macaroons, baked in the oven. Fruit roll-ups Made from fruit and a little sweetener, these healthy snacks are super easy to make in your dehydrator. Raw flax crackers Easier to make than you might thinkg, and perfect with raw hummus. Lemon Coconut Cookies I couldn't stop eating the batter, these were so good! You've been warned!
