From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
I was in London last Friday night for the naming of the Seabourn Sojourn. British icon Twiggy is the Godmother, and she performed her naming duties well. (And, she looks terrific for someone who is 3 months older than I am!) Join me in London for the gala celebration and a quick photo tour of this new luxury ship.

Godmother Twiggy Names Seabourn Sojourn in London
The Seabourn Sojourn inaugural weekend celebration began on June 4 with the naming ceremony, gala dinner, and party. The next night, Seabourn donated use of the ship to Breast Cancer Haven for a fund raising dinner to celebrate the charity's 10th anniversary. On Sunday, the Seabourn Sojourn's first cruise guests boarded and the ship sailed on her inaugural voyage to northern Europe. It was quite a weekend!

Seabourn Sojourn Naming Event Photo Gallery
These photos from the Seabourn Sojourn capture some of the fun and magic of the gala naming event that began with the formal ceremony and cocktail party, and ended with a gala dinner, sunset party, and fireworks. A good time was had by all.

Seabourn Sojourn Outdoors and Exteriors
The 450-passenger Seabourn Sojourn is almost identical to her sister ship the Seabourn Odyssey that was launched in June 2009. The all-white ship is lovely and has plenty of outdoor deck space with comfortable, quiet seating.

Seabourn Sojourn Spa and Fitness Center
The Spa on the Seabourn Sojourn is designed a little differently than her sister ship. Instead of a small pool, the 11,400-square foot, two-deck Spa features a thermal suite area with heated loungers and a steam salt bath.
