| | The shopping part of holiday preparations is winding down for me. Now it's time to focus on the party planning. I'm ready to pull out my cookbooks and dig out the old favorites and new experiments to try out on my guests. Whoops, I should know better - never experiment on your guests if you want to stress less at your party. Have an Entertaining week! | | Thinking About Your Guests When You Plan a Party When we plan our parties, we spend time thinking about the menu, the music, the table settings, centerpieces and all the other little details that go into making a wonderful event. But the first thing we should really focus on is our guests. That's why this collection of tips will help you plan for your guests - the most important element of your party! | Do You Know a Cheese or Chocolate Lover? The program hosts agreed with me that traditional etiquette says that the host picks up the whole tab, but that times have changed and it's now customary for everyone to pay their share. Please take our poll and let us know your opinion on this touchy subject. | Survive the Stress of Holiday Entertaining I can tell by the extra, off-hours traffic on the road and in the stores, as well as the glazed over look in the eyes of many, that we are in the thick of the holiday season. Without a few good strategies in place, this would be a very stressful time of the year. So here are my top strategies for beating holiday stress. For the record, I've been relying very heavily on strategy number 1. | | | | Entertaining Ads | | | | Featured Articles | | | | More from About.com | | | | | | Great Gadget Gifts iPad or iPod?
