From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
Are burgers and fries a foregone conclusion when you head to a theme park? Maybe you need to think outside of the (Jack-in-the-) box. Also this week, let's take a closer look at a new water park coming to Texas and a couple of developments at two of my favorite park podcasts.

Readers' Choice Awards update: Nominations close on Wednesday, February 15. Our crack accounting team from Dewey, Cheatam, and Howe will tabulate the results and determine five finalists in each category. Voting will begin next week on Wednesday, February 22.

Anti-Hamburger Helper
You're on vacation at Disney World, and you're in the zone: riding the rides, meeting the characters, seeing the shows. Who has time to eat? When you get hungry, the intoxicating smell of fresh-baked cookies or the promise of fast and (sorta) cheap hamburgers lure you in to the concessions. With a little forethought, however, it is possible to eat (sorta) sensibly at the parks. The doyenne of Disney dining, Pam Brandon, and I offer some tips for eating healthy at Disney World in About.com's latest exclusive video.

Texas Water Park Has Weather Covered -- or Not
Schlitterbahn South Padre Island, part of the popular Schlitterbahn chain, has a popular beachfront water park that will open for the season in April. Starting in the summer, however, there will no longer be an off-season when the adjacent Schlitterbahn Beach Resort, a hotel and indoor water park, opens. Designed to provide year-round, bathing suit-clad fun, the indoor water park will have a retractable roof that will open to the outdoors on warmer, weather-cooperating days. Read more about the Texas water park, Schlitterbahn South Padre Island.

(Your Name Here)'s Hollywood Studios
I'm on the panel of judges (along with Neil Patrick Harris and some major industry players!) for CoasterRadio.com's "Reel" Design Contest. Find out how to enter and get more details. Discreet bribes graciously accepted.

A Spot of TEA
The Season Pass Podcast has a great show about the TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) and its annual Theas ceremony.
