From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
Not to be outdone by Disney World and Universal Orlando, which are on a building spree and have some nifty new stuff coming, SeaWorld Orlando announced three new attractions coming to its collection of parks.

SeaWorld Shells Out Big Clams for New Attractions
Next year, SeaWorld will debut TurtleTrek, a pavilion that will include real and filmed animals, the latter of which will be presented in 360-degree-enhanced 3-D inside a special domed theater. As the Pixar-lated Crush from nearby Epcot might say, "Righteous, dude!." The tony Discovery Cove will also be getting a new interactive animal adventure next year. And in 2013, SeaWorld's penguins will be waddling in a made over Antarctica attraction that will include a new ride-through experience for guests. Read more about what's new at SeaWorld Orlando.

Disney Christmas Adventure
Disney California Adventure will be firing up more of the red and green water fountains this holiday season. The nightly World of Color show (which is truly wonderful) will be getting a holiday finale tacked onto its revue of classic Disney movie moments. Park officials say that the new sequence will feature Lanny and Wayne, Santa's hip elves.

When the Tron sequel opened in late 2010, World of Color added a coda highlighting the film. The ability to modify the show demonstrates the flexibility of the sophisticated technology used to bring it to life. Read more about Christmas at Disneyland.

On a Wing and a Player
Is the concept of a "wing" coaster, in which the train's seats are arranged to the left and right of the track rather than over it, more of a gimmick than anything else? I don't know. And I won't know until I try one of the two new wing coasters (the first of their kind in North America) debuting next year at Six Flags Great America and Dollywood. But we can all get a sense of the ride experience via the two preview videos of Wild Eagle, the coaster coming to Dolly Parton's Tennessee park. The point-of-view video, especially, gives an intriguing you-are-there perspective. The park also released a general preview video of the new coaster today. Whether the seating configuration is a gimmick or not, the coaster looks like it's going to be a load of fun. Read more about Wild Eagle.

Manta at SeaWorld Orlando Coaster Review
With its impressive layout, inspired themeing, and smooth ride, the sleek and elegant Manta may be the best roller coaster to feature the flying concept. The only downside? The mesmerizing ride seems too short.
