From Teresa Plowright, your Guide to Family Vacations
If you're looking for last-minute ideas for Spring Break getaways, here's a thought or two....

Spring Break: Skiing in Vancouver BC
Vancouver BC, with its mild coastal climate, is a great city to visit during spring break, but many visitors don't know that three ski opportunities are just a half-hour away. The North Shore mountains that look so scenic by the sea have caps of snow, and ski season continues into April. Visitors can rent all they need to get on the slopes. Where else in the world do skiers and boarders get ocean views?

Universal Orlando Spring Break Survival Tips
The Universal Orlando theme parks gets packed during Spring Break, our Guide for Florida Travel warns... Fortunately she also has tips for spending the least amount of time in line-ups and the maximum amount of time on the rides you like.

National Cherry Blossom Festival, Washington DC
If your Spring Break is between March 26 and April 10, you can join this city-wide celebration that has hundreds of special events and performances as well as thousands of cherry trees in bloom. Washington DC is generally an affordable destination, and many hotels offer packages during Festival weeks. Sightseeing options include the wonderful (and free!) Smithsonian Museums.

Scenic Hotel in a Village in Provence, France
At least click on the photo of this impossibly photogenic hotel, perched above a small hill village: then picture your family exploring Roman ruins or village lanes, or going biking or horse-riding... You may even find bargain airfares this time of year.
