Jewelry Trends at the Grammy Awards

Katy Perry at the Grammy AwardsJewelry at the 2012 Grammy Awards was a mix of bold contemporary pieces and more delicate, feminine designs that blended nicely with the lacy and textured gowns that many of the women wore. A Grecian theme was apparent among some of the celebrities who walked the red carpet, in both the jewelry and the gowns.

A Look Back at Whitney Houston's Style
Whitney Houston StyleHer tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown and ongoing problems with substance abuse were not a secret, but most people were stunned when 48 year old Whitney Houston passed away on February 11. Whitney won't be forgotten by her fans and fellow musicians, and tributes to her talent are occurring worldwide. Let's take a look back at some of the jewelry she wore during her long career, beginning with a 1987 photo.

2011 Grammy Awards Jewelry
One jewelry trend stood out at the 2011 Grammy Awards -- oversize earrings, mostly chandeliers. Some were fashioned primarily from yellow or white metals, others were set with diamonds and other gems, but there were exceptions, like Diana Agron's jet daggers.

2010 Grammy Awards Jewelry
Beyonce's huge golden earrings were standouts during her walk down the 2010 Grammy Awards red carpet. They're not a look most of us would choose for a night out, but they worked for Beyonce, and melded with the geometric images on her gown. Some of my favorite jewelry of the night -- Carrie Ann Inaba's Neil Lane earrings, a Cartier bracelet on Fergie's wrist, and a sleek platinum and diamond bracelet worn by Melanie Fiona.
