From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
Most thrill rides offer a combination of speed and height to tap into our innate fears. Six Flags Magic Mountain will offer both -- to the nth degree -- with its wild new tower ride next year.

Six Flags to Drop a Heart-Stopping Ride
When Six Flags Magic Mountain opens Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom next spring, it will be the fastest (85 freakin' mph) and tallest (a break-out-the-Xanax height of 400 feet) vertical drop ride in the world. To make it even more frightening, the ride will ever-so-s-l-o-w-l-y creep up to the nosebleed top of its tower and hang there for a few agonizing moments. This will be one diabolical ride. Read more about Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom. Then stock up on a supply of Depends if you are thinking about boarding this contraption.

A Potteriffic Event is Coming to Universal Orlando
Do you love all things Harry Potter? I mean, really, really love Potter? Then you should check out the special event coming to Universal Orlando in November.

Will Cars Drive Away as Most Anticipated Ride of 2012?

See the diabolical Lex Luthor ride in action. And just try not to hyperventilate.
