Best of Europe

From James Martin, your Guide to Europe Travel
It's September, and the weather has cooled. We're finally seeing American tourists in Tuscany and along the Ligurian coast. We were afraid you'd decided not to come this year. The Euro is down a bit on bad economic news out of Europe, mostly from Italy, and its not a bad time to take a little vacation here.

Lucca: Luminaria di Santa Croce
Lucca is a very interesting walled city in Tuscany, but add a festival in which a religious procession weaves through town on medieval roads lit entirely by candlelight and you have a very evocative evening on your hands. Find out about the famous Luminaria di Santa Croce of Lucca by clicking the link above.

Dinant, Belgium
Dinant has an interesting citadel perched on a 100 meter high cliff overlooking the river town. You can cruise or kayak the Meuse river from here, or visit a spectacular cave, or check out the views from the citadel.
