From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
There's a certain sadness that arrives at the end of summer. Days grow shorter, along with our free time, and each bite of summer produce is more precious since their days are numbered. Naturally, there's only one way to get over this malaise, and that's by hosting a summer farewell party. Have an Entertaining week!

Host an Easy Summer Brunch
In just a few weeks my Saturdays will be determined by my daughter's soccer schedule. No more sleeping in, no more relaxing with the weekend newspapers, no more big breakfasts. We'll be up and out the door as early as we are on weekday mornings. So before the inevitable hits, I think the final easy summer party in our series must be an Easy Summer Brunch to savor the final lazy weekends of the all too short summer season.

Put Those Seashells to Work
Weeks at the beach often mean a week of treasure hunts along the shoreline picking up every charming little shard of seashell or seaglass depending on the beach visited. It's tough to toss those treasures and their associated memories even though we don't know what to do with them once we get back home. One of the best things to do is to show them off at your next party by making a Seashell Centerpiece.

Plan a Summer Harvest Feast
This is the best time of the year for cooking, because so little is required. With produce literally dropping from their plants, it's easy to put together fresh, flavorful meals that will really impress your guests.

Review of Farmer's Garden by Vlasic
One of the large pickle companies has realized that many of us really like when our produce has been turned into a homemade, artisan-type of food product. That's why they've just introduced a new line of pickles called Farmer's Garden, by Vlasic. You can read more in this review, and find out whether I feel these pickles live up to their promise
