From Setsuko Yoshizuka, your Guide to Japanese Food
Hi everyone. Have you had Japanese cold noodles at Japanese restaurants near you? A member of our forum is trying to recreate a noodle dish served at Japanese restaurants.

New Forum Topic: Cold Noodle Salad
"Here in New Orleans there are two Japanese restaurants that serve a cold noodle salad that is out of this world!! The basic ingredients are a type of angelhair pasta, black pepper, sesame seeds, thinly sliced carrots and cucumber, but the very thin, light white sauce is what makes the dish so amazing. However, for all I try, I cannot figure out how it is made. Can anyone help me out?"

Japanese Recipe of the Week: Teriyaki Chicken with Negi
It's a variation of teriyaki chicken cooked with negi (Welsh onion). Negi and chicken are often cooked together in Japanese cooking. For example, we thread chicken and negi on skewers alternatively when making yakitori.

Teriyaki Chicken
Teriyaki chicken is one of the most popular Japanese recipes. It's easy to make teriyaki chicken at home.

Miso Soup with Daikon and Aburaage
Many Japanese food lovers shared their favorite miso soup recipes here, and I learned many interesting ideas for the ingredients. Miso soup with daikon and aburaage (fried bean curd) is one of my favorite because daikon radishes add a slight sweetness to the soup. Try this combination if you would like.
