From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
The Silversea Silver Spirit was launched in December 2009, and earlier this year I completed a wonderful 14-day cruise on the ship, sailing from Santiago to Acapulco. This delightful cruise was filled with warm sunny days and calm nights at sea. It was a great escape from the winter doldrums back home and gave me an opportunity to fully explore and experience all the Silver Spirit has to offer the cruising public.

Silversea Silver Spirit Cruise Ship Tour
With 540 passengers, the Silver Spirit is larger than the other ships in the Silversea fleet. However, the cruise line has retained the intimate feel, elegant look, and exceptional service travelers expect from Silversea ships. Those who have sailed with Silversea before should love the ship--the cruise line has kept or enhanced the "good stuff", while adding new features that will appeal to travelers who love luxury and expect the best.

Dining on the Silversea Silver Spirit
One of the best things about larger cruise ships is the opportunity to enjoy several different dining venues and cuisines. With 540 guests, the Silver Spirit is certainly not large, but Silversea's new ship has a terrific variety of diverse dining venues. I especially loved the Hot Rock Grill. Who would have thought it could be so much fun to cook your own steak?

Silversea Silver Spirit Interiors
The interiors of the Silversea Silver Spirit are done in a lovely art deco style, with many neutral colors and rich burgundy carpets. The major exception to this is the reception area, which is done in green and blues. The spaciousness of the ship is quite impressive--there's always a seat to be found and never a line.

Silversea Silver Spirit Exteriors
The exterior of the Silver Spirit is all white, with the Silversea name emblazoned across her funnel. The mid-sized cruise ship has many quiet, comfortable seating areas, as are shown in these photos. Passengers love all the different lounge chairs on the quiet outdoor decks.
