Birthdays

From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
Now that my daughter's birthday sleepover party is done, and I've almost caught up on my rest, it's time to kick the Halloween preparations into full gear. The first order of business is the pumpkin, followed by the special Halloween treats! Have an Entertaining week!

Host a Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Party
Images of witches, ghosts, and bats abound around Halloween, but it's the jack-o-lantern that really takes center stage. If the Halloween pumpkin is your favorite part of the season, then this is the perfect party for you to host this month.

"Recipe for Murder"
October is the month when many of us like to challenge our deeper fears and anxieties. So it is fitting to review this book that is dedicated to famous literary murderers and fancifully pairs recipes and illustrations with their tales. If you have an appetite for the spooky characters of our childhood and adult nightmares, you'll want to read this review of "Recipe for Murder, Frightfully Good Food Inspired by Fiction". It may very well inspire a theme for this year's Halloween party.

Pulling Out the Chocolate Fountain
My daughter's birthday sleepover party is over. And I can confirm that the chocolate fountain was one of the big attractions of the night. Sleep definitely wasn't.

Party Preparations - When It's Time to Clean, How Much Do Yo
Since the party was only for kids, I knew that the house would be messier after it was over. So for once I didn't overdo the cleaning. I wish I could be this relaxed about cleaning for all my parties. How about you? Do you spend a lot of time cleaning before you host a party?
