This week's news starts off with Apple announcing it will be enhancing its support forums by adding social networking features. I'm not sure how helpful that is for a support forum. Stop by and let me know what you think.

The other news is that Apple has started delivering Mac Pros almost a week ahead of the original shipping estimate. That's good news for all of us who ordered the new model.

Finally, I updated the reviews of the new iMac models. The updated reviews go into more detail about the models and their features and benefits.


Apple Starts Shipping New Mac Pros
What a nice surprise this morning: an email from Apple informing me that the Mac Pro I ordered on August 9th has shipped. The shipment is just shy of a week early from Apple's original estimate of August 23rd. With any luck, I'll have some preliminary benchmarks on the Mac Pro around the middle of next week. Updated: 21.5-inch iMac 2010 Review
Apple's latest update to the popular iMac brings Intel's iX line of processors to the entire lineup. The 21.5-inch model gets three processor options: a 3.06 GHz or 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 in the two standard models, and a 3.60 GHz Intel Core i5 in a build-to-order configuration.
