Dell recently unveiled a 27-inch monitor that uses the same LCD panel as the 27-inch iMac. Dell sells the new monitor for around $1000; the 27-inch iMac sells for $1699 and up, depending on the configuration you choose.

In other news, Apple released fixes for Mac Pro audio problems, and Adobe has hinted at a spring release for CS5, which will include a 64-bit version of Photoshop for the Mac.
